style=\"color:#a5f3fc!important\">Ninguna bater\u00eda convencional puede igualar su densidad energ\u00e9tica espec\u00edfica. El zinc-aire tiene m\u00e1s energ\u00eda por gramo que el litio, el sodio o el magnesio. La raz\u00f3n: uno de sus reactivos viene del aire ambiental gratis, no del interior de la celda. Eso libera el espacio interior para m\u00e1s zinc, el material activo que guarda la energ\u00eda. El resultado es una densidad energ\u00e9tica te\u00f3rica de m\u00e1s de 1.300 Wh\/kg, comparada con los 300 Wh\/kg del litio-ion m\u00e1s avanzado.<\/p>\n<div class=\"zna-how\">\n<h2>Los tres componentes que hacen posible esta qu\u00edmica<\/h2>\n<div class=\"zna-how-grid\">\n<div class=\"zna-how-box\">\n<h3>\ud83d\udd29 \u00c1nodo de zinc<\/h3>\n<p>El zinc se oxida durante la descarga liberando electrones y iones Zn\u00b2\u207a. Es un metal abundante, barato, no t\u00f3xico y f\u00e1cil de reciclar. En su forma en polvo, tiene alt\u00edsima superficie de reacci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zna-how-box\">\n<h3>\ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f C\u00e1todo poroso de ox\u00edgeno<\/h3>\n<p>Una membrana porosa catal\u00edtica expuesta al aire. El O\u2082 del ambiente se reduce en esta interfaz y reacciona con los iones de zinc. No hay material activo almacenado aqu\u00ed: el c\u00e1todo es s\u00f3lo un conductor catal\u00edtico.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zna-how-box\">\n<h3>\ud83d\udca7 Electrolito alcalino<\/h3>\n<p>Generalmente KOH (hidr\u00f3xido de potasio) en soluci\u00f3n acuosa. Conduce los iones OH\u207b entre los electrodos y es compatible con la qu\u00edmica zinc-ox\u00edgeno a temperatura ambiente.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zna-hearing\">\n<h2>\ud83e\uddbb Ya us\u00e1s zinc-aire y probablemente no lo sab\u00e9s<\/h2>\n<p>Las pilas para aud\u00edfonos \u2014esas peque\u00f1as celdas con una pesta\u00f1a adhesiva naranja que hay que retirar antes de usar\u2014 son zinc-aire. Antes de activarlas, la pesta\u00f1a sella el agujero de entrada de aire. Cuando la sac\u00e1s, el ox\u00edgeno entra y la celda comienza a activarse.<\/p>\n<p>En Argentina, cualquier \u00f3ptica o farmacia que vende aud\u00edfonos usa pilas zinc-aire de las marcas Rayovac, Duracell o Energizer. Son bater\u00edas primarias (no recargables), pero demuestran que la tecnolog\u00eda es confiable, madura y fabricable a escala industrial.
