El veh\u00edculo el\u00e9ctrico Chery iCAR 03, disponible en China, usa un paquete mixto de celdas sodio-ion y litio-ion en la misma bater\u00eda. La densidad de energ\u00eda es ligeramente inferior a la del LFP, pero la temperatura de funcionamiento en fr\u00edo es significativamente mejor. BYD anunci\u00f3 producci\u00f3n masiva de celdas sodio-ion para 2025. Seg\u00fan la evaluaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica publicada por el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2023-07\/Technology%20Strategy%20Assessment%20-%20Sodium%20Batteries.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" style=\"color:#0369a1!important;font-weight:600\">Departamento de Energ\u00eda de EE.UU. (DOE)<\/a>, la tecnolog\u00eda de sodio-ion est\u00e1 en la transici\u00f3n entre investigaci\u00f3n y producci\u00f3n masiva, con madurez proyectada para 2027\u20132030 en aplicaciones de almacenamiento estacionario y veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos de bajo costo. Para el mercado de reposici\u00f3n automotriz convencional (autos a nafta o di\u00e9sel), el plomo-\u00e1cido y el AGM seguir\u00e1n siendo la tecnolog\u00eda dominante por los pr\u00f3ximos 10\u201315 a\u00f1os. El sodio-ion es relevante principalmente para quien planea instalar almacenamiento solar o eventualmente migrar a movilidad el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sdi-curiosity\">\n<strong>&#128200; Dato curioso \u2014 el sodio es literalmente 1.000 veces m\u00e1s abundante que el litio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La corteza terrestre contiene aproximadamente 2,6% de sodio vs. 0,0017% de litio en masa. El sodio no requiere extracci\u00f3n en salares espec\u00edficos \u2014 est\u00e1 en el agua del mar, en dep\u00f3sitos de sal, en m\u00faltiples minerales comunes.
