La raz\u00f3n: en un aer\u00f3dromo sin calefacci\u00f3n a 1.500m de altitud con -5\u00b0C en invierno, la NiCd entrega el 90% de su CCA nominal. El plomo-\u00e1cido en esas condiciones puede entregar menos del 60%. Para la aviaci\u00f3n general, la confiabilidad en el arranque fr\u00edo no es un lujo \u2014 es una cuesti\u00f3n de seguridad operacional.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ncd-note\">\n<strong>&#128204; Reciclaje de NiCd en Argentina: obligatorio por ley<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El cadmio es un metal pesado altamente t\u00f3xico clasificado como residuo peligroso por la Ley 24.051. En Argentina, la disposici\u00f3n de bater\u00edas NiCd en basura domiciliaria est\u00e1 prohibida. Los fabricantes de herramientas el\u00e9ctricas (Bosch, DeWalt, Makita) tienen puntos de recolecci\u00f3n habilitados. Al reemplazar bater\u00edas NiCd en equipos industriales o de emergencia, el retiro debe hacerse a trav\u00e9s de una empresa habilitada para residuos peligrosos o del punto de recolecci\u00f3n del fabricante.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ncd-curiosity\">\n<strong>&#128200; Dato curioso \u2014 cu\u00e1ntas NiCd quedan en Argentina<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A pesar de la restricci\u00f3n RoHS, se estima que en Argentina hay varios millones de bater\u00edas NiCd todav\u00eda en servicio, principalmente en l\u00e1mparas de emergencia instaladas entre 1990 y 2010 en edificios, hospitales y escuelas. Muchas de esas l\u00e1mparas llevan 15+ a\u00f1os sin mantenimiento y sus bater\u00edas ya no mantienen la autonom\u00eda m\u00ednima exigida por las normas IRAM de seguridad contra incendios.
