La Li-ion requiere carga en fases (CC\/CV) con BMS dedicado. Sin un convertidor DC-DC intermedio, el alternador puede da\u00f1ar el paquete de litio o no cargarlo correctamente.<\/li>\n<li><strong>BMS del auto no la reconoce:<\/strong> En autos con BMS electr\u00f3nico, la resistencia interna de la Li-ion difiere tanto del perfil esperado que el sistema genera alertas o entra en modo reducido.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CCA (corriente de arranque en fr\u00edo):<\/strong> A temperaturas bajo cero, la qu\u00edmica de litio reduce dr\u00e1sticamente su CCA disponible. En inviernos de -5\u00b0C a -10\u00b0C del interior argentino, una Li-ion de 12V puede no arrancar un motor di\u00e9sel.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Costo-beneficio negativo:<\/strong> Una bater\u00eda Li-ion de 12V\/70Ah cuesta entre USD 400 y USD 800. Una AGM equivalente cuesta USD 80\u2013120 y dura 4\u20136 a\u00f1os. En 2021, anunci\u00f3 el cambio a LFP (Litio-Ferro-Fosfato) para los Model 3 y Model Y de gama est\u00e1ndar. La raz\u00f3n: el cobalto cotiza en bolsa y su precio es vol\u00e1til (lleg\u00f3 a USD 95.000\/tonelada en 2018). La LFP no usa cobalto, es m\u00e1s estable t\u00e9rmicamente, tolera carga al 100% de forma permanente sin degradarse, y tiene vida \u00fatil de 3000\u20135000 ciclos. La desventaja: menor densidad energ\u00e9tica (menor autonom\u00eda por kg).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lib-note\">\n<strong>&#128204; Li-ion de 12V: cu\u00e1ndo s\u00ed tiene sentido instalarla<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Existen casos v\u00e1lidos para instalar Li-ion de 12V en veh\u00edculos terrestres: embarcaciones con instalaci\u00f3n solar donde el peso es cr\u00edtico, motorhomes con sistema de carga dedicado DC-DC, veh\u00edculos de competici\u00f3n donde cada kg importa, y sistemas de respaldo (no arranque) donde la bater\u00eda alimenta equipos electr\u00f3nicos sin pasar por el alternador. En todos estos casos, el sistema debe incluir un convertidor de carga compatible y el instalador debe entender la qu\u00edmica espec\u00edfica de la bater\u00eda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lib-curiosity\">\n<strong>&#128200; Dato curioso \u2014 el mercado argentino de EV y su impacto en las bater\u00edas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Argentina import\u00f3 3.847 veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos en 2023, seg\u00fan datos del ACARA \u2014 un crecimiento del 340% respecto a 2022. Para 2025 se proyectan m\u00e1s de 8.000 unidades. Estos autos no necesitan la bater\u00eda de 12V que vende un negocio de bater\u00edas tradicional \u2014 tienen una bater\u00eda de tracci\u00f3n de 40\u2013100 kWh separada y una peque\u00f1a bater\u00eda auxiliar de 12V para el sistema de baja tensi\u00f3n.
